Ben and Stephanie and kids came to visit us this week! We had a lot of fun with them and we are sad that they are gone :-( Maybe we can still see them again while they are in Iowa.
Emmy posing in her rain boots, so cute!

Project

Brent has three patient rooms that are "his" and we can decorate them how we choose and the hospital will reimburse us for whatever we buy for them.  Some of the doctors have VERY elaborately decorated peds rooms.  I decided not to go quite so crazy.  I chose a Dr Seuss theme, mostly because I really loved the little Dr Seuss quotes that I found for the room.  Buying Dr Seuss artwork like I wanted would cost about $100 per canvas.  I didn't want to overspend even though the hospital was paying, so I thought I could make a wooden frame and stretch fabric over it.  I made six 2ft X 2ft pictures for a total cost of about $60.  Of course someone had thought of this first and there were several ideas online as well.  I also found a cute clock, shelf (not shown in pics) and a little table for the kids which is also not shown in the pictures.
                                                         The supplies:

Words on the wall say, "a person's a person, no matter how small"

This one says, "You have Brains in your head and feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself in any direction you choose!"
In this little corner is where the kids table is as well.

As for the decorations in the other two rooms.  I had to get tables for the magazines, I also got a little basket and children's books to go in them.  The rooms did not have clocks so we put those in there and we bought hooks for coats, purses or whatever.  The children's table came with 4 chairs so the other two rooms each have one and then the table has two with it.  One room is decorated in Patriotic style.  I found some cool pics at hobby lobby and the other room is still empty.... We were thinking Hawkeye, but then we were also thinking about some nice "inspirational" pictures, but I will have to go somewhere else to find that.
