Easter

Brent was moonlighting in Kiowa this weekend so we spent Easter there.  Usually while in Kiowa we eat pizza and PB & H (honey) since that didn't sound like a very nice Easter dinner I brought my crock pot and a cooler full of ingredients and made a pretty good dinner.
The kids participated in their first ever Easter egg hunt at the park, which was pretty fun.  It was divided up by age group so Nile and Emmy were in different sections.  They both got a lot of candy.
That evening we also went to look at the canola fields again.  They are really pretty.
Sunday morning, we re-hid all their candy and eggs from the day before and they were so excited to find it all again!

House

We put our house on the market at the end of February.  We have had about 5 or 6 showings and so far no bites.  It doesn't help that our next door neighbors are also selling their house.  He got a new job and so they are moving at the end of the week, he has already been working out of town for about 2 weeks now.  They continue to lower their price which makes it hard for us.  They started at 170,000 the current price is 157,900.  We started at 163,900 and Brent is calling the realtor today and we are going to price it under th$160,000 mark.  It's so stressful and I feel like I am running  around cleaning constantly and the kids make messes and then every time I cook or do laundry there is a mess :-/  I just want it to sell so I can stop stressing out so much.  I have to try to remember what Phil 4:6 says.  And here are several variations.  My request is that our house sells soon and they don't want to move it until sometime in July and I am thankful that we have been able to live in this wonderful house for the past 3 years and that we have another wonderful house waiting for us in Iowa.

Nile

Nile has grown up so much in the last couple months.  A friend had asked me right after Nile turned 3 if it was better then 2.  I said no then, but in the last 2 or 3 months he has grown up so much.  He is easy to have a conversation with, he is thankful for EVERYTHING.  He thanks me for all kinds of things like buying him food at the grocery store and taking him to the park and playing outside with him.  He tells us he loves us without us saying it first (So Sweet!).  He is taking soccer and swimming right now, he loves swimming.  He is also going to speech therapy which has been helping with the understanding him part.  He loves to sing and knows so many songs I have lost count.  He can't wait to move to our new house in Iowa because he is getting a Hawkeye bedroom!  He is a great helper, clears his plate from the table when he is finished and loves his sister. If you ask him where Jesus lives he says "in my heart!"

Emmy

Emmy is getting so big!  She has been such a great baby! However, now she is a toddler and she has decided she wants to get into everything! I have to keep the bathroom doors closed because she opens the toilets and puts all the toilet paper in them.  She loves to be outside.  She loves to play with Nile and she is one tough girl!  Nile's eyes have turned green, but Emmy is little miss blues eyes.  She is starting to get more hair, but still not very much, but I did manage to put it in the worlds smallest pony tail the other day.   Emmy's favorite food is bananas, she will drink anything as long as it's in Nile's cup. She is brave and climbs anything, loves to swim and LOVES to ride in Nile's jeep with him.
